St. James Middle School recognizes that the success of a student is a joint effort between the school and the parents. Parents strongly influence the level of success a child achieves in school.
In fact, the parent is the first teacher of his/her child and should develop in that child good behavior habits and attitudes toward school. Parental interest and support at home are important to children and are greatly appreciated by the teachers and school administration.
Many answers to questions parents may have can be found in
The Horry County School District Student Information Guide. Each student at SJM should have received a copy of this publication at the beginning of the year.
We recognize the importance of communication between the school, teachers, and parents. If you need to contact one of your child's teachers directly, please see the
Staff Directory page.
